Holy BITCHASS This Place is a FUCKING SHITSTORM.

Dear FUCKING CHANCELLOR.
What compelled me to come to this god-awful motherfucking school. UCLA anally fucks me left and right and then afterwards I get on my knees and pay it 25000 dollars a year. FUCK YOU. Everything good I try and do in here just ends up in a fucking shitstorm. This school is a blackhole of terror and frustration, and not to mention anal rapage. We get charged for fucking INTERNET FEES FOR OUR CLASSES THAT DONT HAVE INTERNET WEBSITES. My dorm is the size of my CLOSET AT HOME and i have two other roomates AND I pay 3,500 a quarter. Professors don't teach jack shit. Instead, they regurgitate a useless course reader I got for fucking 65 dollars. So class is a waste of my time and my money.
Example of God and UCLA teaming up to FUCK WITH ME:
I go out yesterday (thursday night, essentially party night) to see some friends for an hour. Say no to partying, come home do my homework, check my alarm so that it is set for 7:30 in the morning. Wake up this morning at 9:58 a.m. REALLY ALARM?!?!?!?!? It apparently set at 7:30 pm. So now I missed my mandatory class and my homework points. HELLO, I SAID NO TO PARTYING, WHY AM I GETTING PUNISHED.
AND, my class starts at 9 am, So I woke up just as my class was ending. God decided to add some irony in there to I want to drop out and perform arsine on universities for a living.

love,
your anally raped student,Toni

Winter Break
It feels good to be home with the friends I've known since Pre-school, or at least High School. I'll be lucky to find friends half as good as the friends I already have when I'm at college.
Have a good break

hmm. Seems like livejournal is becoming more and more obsolete after the popularity boom of Facebook.

But to challenge my literacy (that is no doubt continuing to deteriorate, even at this very moment)I still turn to livejournal.

I just got back from my Norcal roadtrip. Jun and I decided to try and be adventurous so instead of driving or flying we decided to have a go at using the greyhound. Whoa, big mistake. Not only is it smelly, dirty, undeniably shady and not really that cheap, THIS HAPPENED . Now imagine my blistering fear after hearing about that. I was pretty awake the whole ride home, suspecting every other passenger of wanting to pull out a knife and stab me.

Aside from the frightening bus ride, actually being in Norcal was great. I got to meet up with some of my favorite people, Rob, Fred, Matt, Max, Anita, Nick, and Andrew and I met a few people as well.

I'm convinced to at least try the whole Greek system once I get to UCLA. I think the best thing out of the whole trip was how sure I am of the college I picked. Berkeley definitely isn't for me, although everyone there seemed to love it. (Plus UCLA dorm food is way better)

I learned some rules about college though:
1. Do not commit floorcest, it makes for awkward elevator rides.
2. If your roomate is a tool, do everything she says not to. (and let random friends sleep on her bed when she's gone)
3. Do not get into random cars drunk.
4. No inter-Frat hooking up. Pick the best looking brother and move to the next house.
5. Asian people hate white people (especially at Berkeley)
6. Drink 24/7

I'm pretty busy for the next few days.
Thursday- Going to LA with Borna
Friday- Concert at the Greek Theater with Gary
Saturday- Hanging out in LA
Sunday- Celebrating 中秋節 (Mid Autumn Holiday) and eating moon cakes:

Monday- Dentist appointment. haha
Tuesday- My brother's white coat ceremony at UCLA. (omg he's an actual dentist)
Wednesday-Friday: Pack fast!
Saturday- Move in.
Everyday until school starts- destroy my liver

I've been watching this is dorm life to hype myself for college.
But no amount of videos is going to get me to want to start studying again. My failure has already begun.

But on happier notes.. I finished reading
which turned out to be really good.

2 weeks or so into the boat of love

I feel like my english is getting worse here. Everyday i make more and more grammatical mistakes, calling she's he's and he's she's. I'm also no longer using plural versions of nouns. Chinese grammar is deteriorating my english. It's too bad my chinese is also having a reverse effect here. If i stay long enough maybe i'll just become mute, retarded, and illiterate. Like some of the campers here. Chiste. My chinese conversation skills are improving a lot. I can write a little better.

Lots of scandy has happened. 2 weeks in, people are definitely holding up the reputation of loveboat. I witnessed some full on sex in a room of 12 people, dirty finger magic on the dancefloor, some loose clothing in the corners of clubs, tables with people sprawled across all over each other. And at the end of the night/morning we go to chinese class and then some culture class at 8 in the morning. People here are crazy. It's quite impressive, if this is anything like college i'm really fucking excited/ pretty sure i'm going to fail out.

I've also met some pretty amazing people. I got really lucky with my rooming situation. My roomates and all became pretty good friends and we all have matching personalities. Or as close as its going to get. At the very least i don't wake up every morning hating myself. Granted there are some full on dumbasses on my floor. The people i have made friends with have more than made up for it. I've met people from Canada (christine, connie, tang, jimmy!) La area (majority of camp, Kim, Pam, Jen) Redneck Country (James) Taiwan obvs, San Francisco area.
I'm getting really used to living in Taiwan. Despite the insane humidity and freakishly large mosquitos, Taiwan is a dream.

I'm not gonna go all Joy Luck Club but being in the motherland is surprisingly comfortable for me since i see myself as an American. I don't want to seem stupid and rash but i want to transfer to NTU (National Taiwan University). I don't feel at all excited to go to UCLA. Not even before graduating. Maybe i'll change my mind once i get back home. Camps always leave people with really intense influence that quickly fade once you leave. But if i still feel the same i'm going to see what the fastest way is to apply there. I've already looked into it some. There are so many positives

NTU:
1,000 per semester
Textbooks are in English
Easier to get into from American universities.
Can get a job easy in Taiwan if i graduate from NTU.
Get out of America

Neg:
probably have to try and have somewhat of a future in Taiwan.
If i change my mind i'm kind of stuck.

we'll see. Being here has left me a lot of time to think about how unsatisfied i am. which is never good.
